ok n today my class got into the nature quiz thingy during assembly. and 3 representitives from the classes are to go onstage. me, blaws and tiddy. with 3 from 210 and 208.
and im a psychic! i predicted that cheryl will smile at me when i go on stage, and she DID! haha.
sigh anw it was soooooo humiliating! haha bcos we don't know the answers, and we juz anyhow guess
esp "what is the smallest mammal in the world?" and tiddy told me kiwi! and i said that into the mike, and then i realised that kiwi is a BIRD!!!!!!!!
which is so obviously wrong. later on at lunch, when i was thinking of what the answer could be, i thought of mousedeer, or some squirrel, or the smallest dog in the world! but i realised that there's the mouse. i bet many ppl didn't even think of it in the first place. =.=" but the answer is below.
The smallest mammal in the world is a bat from Thailand, Kitli's Hog-nosed Bat, Craseonycteris thonglongyai, being only 2.9-3.3 cm or 1.14-1.3 inches long and weighing a mere 1.7-2 g or 0.06 - 0.07oz this bat is well smaller than many insects and snails.
and then something like "what is the first and largest nature reserve in singapore?" and we didn't noe so i said pulau ubin [im always the one saying the answers or passing. everything is my decision!], the first thing that came to my mind. but it's not even in singapore!!! it's probably bukit timah nature reserve! humph it's so near my home and i didn't even think of it.
and the worst muz be "what is the most common pollutant of the environment" or something like that. and blaws dunno why told me human skin! and i said THAT!!!! it's worse than kiwi!!!!!!!!!!! >.<
ok but i kindof saved the day [and the school, who got very well-entertained and was laughing soooooo hard]. the qn was "what does SEC stand for?"
and blaws didn't noe. and i thought it might be Singapore Environment Centre. but council sounded nicer. so i juz anyhow said Singapore Environment Council [and some ppl were laughing bcos i was anyhow guessing], and u noe what?
yeah those ppl there knows. but those who didn't, it WAS CORRECT. then the whole school burst into laughter and i myself was like "uh? it's correct? wah i anyhow guess oso correct" haha ok it's lame. but it's funny.
ok and for the first round, 208 got 4, we got 6 and 210 got 8. sigh. then the second round, where one person is supposed to draw something and u are to guess what it is. yeah and OURS ARE SO DIFFICULT! NOT FAIR! COMPARED TO 208'S AND 210'S OURS IS MORE DIFFICULT! ok the first one was a mangrove thingy, which isn't difficult. then the second one blaws didn't noe how to draw it, so she was drawing a landfill [which we didn't realise. it was dots all over, how are we supposed to noe it's landfill?!] then she drew a star there! for dunno what reason.
and she used a green marker and drew something i dunno what. then she drew a rainbow n tried to colour the part which is green green. [u noe red orange yellow green? yeah the 4th line then] but we didn't noe it's a rainbow. so we were thinking it's dunno what thing with curved lines! turned out the answer is green revolution! SO DIFFICULT RIGHT? HOW IN THE WORLD TO DRAW GREEN REVOLUTION??!!?
maybe u can colour one part green, so that we can guess till we know it's green, but revolution???? how? tell me!!!! -wails- ok so i decided to pass, [not sure could or not, but juz passed anyway. no way i can solve that] and she drew some earth-like thingy [in e green marker lah], so i thought it's green earth, conserve earth! or something. then she drew some tap dripping water, n i thought it's conserve water, conserve environment. then she drew a skull, u noe those pirate's symbols? yeah that. then it's like, i don't noe what's thattttt!
ended up it's oil spill. =.=" should haf drawn a ship with oil spilling out, and some dead fish floating around. but nvm. i dun blame blaws. she did her best, and we were ON STAGE, and we were nervous and didn't noe what to do. and ppl dun blame us. -wince- yes we are horrible. and should haf let gaosi come. but i wonder if gaosi will rmb the answers under our circumstances. nvm.
well. and today on the bus i saw a girl from my primary school. she's primary 6 this year, and she looked familiar, and she said hi to me and waved to me. and so i sat next to her, and talked to her. n realised she was a fren of a p4 girl i knew [my si-mei! or fourth sister in englishhhh] when i was in p6. so they are in p6 now lah. yes and she was in the musical i was in too. either as a munchkin or as a choir singer. since she's in choir, juz like my si-mei! haa.
it's really weird how i was thinking and missing my primary school life, about how carefree it is, how we were innocent and happy, and not worried at all, and haf fun all the time, and how the time passes so quickly, and now sec sch seems so horrible, the realities of the world is juz too horrible, and time seems to be dragging all too slowly. and then i see this girl from zhenghua primary.
muz be fate. she cheered me up tremendously. she laughed with the purest and most innocent children laughter, and she was very straightforward, very happy, very innocent, and she doesn't worry about anything. and she was licking an ice-cream she bought from mcdonald's. happily.
i miss being a child. i miss being innocent and cuddly and laughing with the purest and most innocent children laughter. i miss my childhood. i miss my frens. most of all i miss my happy days as a child. they are slipping away from me, fast, too quickly for me to hold on to them...
i may be not yet 14. but im alrd tainted. no more a child. no more innocence. im growing up.
