For this book I won, they were offering 50 copies but 5,561 people requested it. This means I had 0.9% chance of winning the book. Not that high, and for once I was the 0.9% that got it :)
Maybe it's time to go buy 4D (or the lottery)...
I don't know if the book will be good or not, but I certainly hope so. They'll be sending me a physical copy in 8-10 weeks. It's a collection of fairytales, and I'm excited to find out what new fairytales look like (that's not the usual Grimm's fairytales).
On a random note, those of you who are my friends on Goodreads, you may have noticed I've been on a reading spree in the past few weeks. Yes, I've been obsessed with a few YA book series, and also have been re-reading some of my favorite authors (Michael Crichton, Megan Whalen Turner). I found out that Megan had published two more books in the Queen's Thief series, but I couldn't quite remember what happened in the original 4. So...I'm re-reading all of them just so I can understand the 2 new ones haha.
I just can't put down my Kindle these days. I'm taking some time off work in the next week, so I'll be spending all my free time reading. Even now, I have 8 books on loan from the library, 7 books on hold, and I can't wait to finish all of them in the next few weeks!
Yes, I may end up having to adjust my reading goals up from 35 to 40 or 50 this year....we'll see how far I can get.
